Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) is an annual event dedicated to inspiring and empowering young girls to explore the exciting world of aviation. Organized by Women in Aviation International (WAI), GIAD aims to introduce girls to various career opportunities in aviation and aerospace through engaging activities, interactive workshops, and inspiring presentations.
Joby Aviation is proud to host the third annual Girls in Aviation Day at the Marina Municipal Airport. The event will feature a variety of activities designed to captivate and educate attendees, including approximately 30 different activity stations, static aircraft displays, and a speaker series. While the spirit of GIAD focuses on girls, we welcome all individuals to join us in celebrating aviation.
Women in Aviation International is the largest nonprofit organization that envisions a world where the sky is open to all, and where aviation and aerospace dreams are possible without barriers. WAI is dedicated to providing networking, education, mentoring, & scholarship opportunities for all; women, and girls, men and boys, who are striving for challenging and fulfilling careers in the aviation and aerospace industries. Across the world, WAI has more than 18,000 active members in over 100 countries.
